So, in lieu of posting what I wanted to post today, I've put up a work-in-progress and a flippant haiku. I had one of those great ideas for a work (along the lines of the "He read her Aldous Huxley" piece) but I couldn't get it finished.

The metaphors I want to use are there, what I want to say is (mostly) worked out but the order of the words is just not happening (as Monty Python once said "there words are all there waiting; now we just have to get them in the right order")

To use a musical analogy, I have two themes that are unrelated to each other that I want to harmonise together, almost there but a little clunky.

Continuing failure will probably result in posting it unfinished, unpolished, unloved and, in the words of David Hume the philosopher, to fall "still-born from the press"

Grrr! Argh!

Thank you so much for the watch.

No worries.
Nice to know that your signature quote is *not* from Ronald Reagan after all (as commonly attributed) but from a well proven cynic like HL Mencken

"Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way."
:iconatypical-bipolar:
Now that is a cynical signature.

thankees for the watch, your Majesty. How fares Holland? Has Balthasar Gerard found you yet?

Feel The Wrath.

The watch is the least I could do, maybe one day I will have something worth watching as well.
How is Holland: it is wet, Balthasar? I know no fear of such Catholic rabble rousers. As for assassins, it is the devotees of Hassan I Sabah that I would fear the most if it were not for the fact that I have untertaken their initiation ritual many a time.
